Hey bro', hey sis', what's up?

You just got onto the page of the Girl and Boy Scout unit in Prague 10 and 15 (Zahradni Mesto, Kosik, Na Grosi and Petrovice). It's our pleasure to welcome you here and provide you some information about us.

Our unit – 92. stredisko Sipu – consists of more than 7 troops with boy or girl patrols of all ages from 4 to 20 years. More than 20 young leaders are taking care of more than 130 kids visiting more than 4 elementary schools in our district.

Program of each unit is consisted of several parts. Once a week we have a meeting where either leaders or patrols by themselves are preparing the program according to our basic book – Scout path. In this small book there are merit badges which everyone follows and tries to get as far as possible. This should help us to develop skills necessary for civil life, surviving in nature and getting know ourselves, people around us and setting up the values for whole life. These small steps are practically proved at least once a month on the either troop weekend trip or one day patrol hike. The peak of the whole school year work is then the summer camp. It last three weeks (it might differ according to the age of kids) and it is situated on the green meadow in the nature, where it is necessary to build the tents, cook for ourselves and try to live without help of anyone else. This three week life is revamped by many games, workshops and adventurous hikes.

Our program is still being developed according to the newest techniques for working with kids and our experienced leaders also help to educate and raise new leaders and organize educating programs for our district. It will be our pleasure to get in touch with you!
